Evacuees 1939 Sling Bag - when the war started my fathers family were all evacuated from Manchester to Preston. This picture was taken when they briefly visited home in 1939. My Mum was also evacuated and placed with the same family as the girls, who were to become my Aunties. Left to right Molly Delia, Margaret Green, Peter Riley (Dad) front Frances Connell Jim Riley(RIP) I so love using and carrying this bag - everone thinks its some designer brand and I'm proud to explain the story behind it and how much I love all the dear people in this grainy photo.
