 Actually I have two bassets - Reggie and Lola - they are Sunny's siblings. Lightning wasn't my dog - I made this for her owners - but I haven't given it to them yet. You actually made me feel better about the book - I have been holding back on actually ordering it. So thanks for your comment.

 I love your book (and Bassets)! Lightning looks like she was a special dog. We have one Basset that looks exactly like your Sunny. We rescued her from an abusive home and she is our big sweety now. I love how vocal they are! We also have 2 basset/springer spaniel mixes. Thank you for sharing this book!
