Review: Ordered 38 5x7's, and several were under the minimum requirements (dpi, resolution,) and so it of course advised me not to order these or else if I were to order them, to expect them to be all blurry, and not useable.

Pros: To start with, the ones withOUT that warning were like they always are (I have ordered about 1,000 in my history with AC) - they had good coloring, were crisp, and were clear. The ones with the WARNING, now - they WERE blurry, yes, but funny thing is that most were still useable! I had one that was extremely low (somewhere around 45 dpi or so,) and even with all the blurriness, it's still useable. Another great thing is that with Artscow, their prints, like all other products, are packaged for shipping carefully. The 1st time around when ordering prints, you can't possibly see how, but they do keep your entire print order in pristine condition all the way halfway across the world until they have reached your hands.

Cons: I have maintained my Artscow account for about 10 years, and it just has ALWAYS seemed to me that far too many pictures are unusable due to not having a high enough dpi or resolution size. The same pictures that say they are not useable here come back as fine to use at 2 other major competitors. These are all pictures taken from an expensive camera, too, so that is not it. A normal picture that I have personally shot should be good enough for all projects here, including photo books. (As a side note, when you ask either through private email ('contact us' bottom of every page) or through their message boards, www.artscow.com answers my question on how to avoid this or get a higher number extremely poorly. Sadly, most of their efforts are spent dodging the question completely.).

Bottom Line: Hanging onto any 5x7 prints for when their next sale loops around, or using a credit, really makes this such an excellent offer. If you can get some 5x7's for decorating the walls of your home, or for a project you are creating at home, and also get them while on a sale?! See- This is why I love Artscow! :) <3 :).

Review: The prints were beautifully done, with faithful colors, deep blacks and natural skin tones. All the problems in the photos, like slight blurriness and partial red-eye, were inherent to the camera itself and the mild color correction done before uploading to the site.

Pros: High quality matte prints Superb colors Free shipping Great price.

Cons: Lengthy wait (around 2-3 weeks on average).

Bottom Line: When Artscow does a great promotion like this, it's hard to resist not taking advantage of it! The people I took the photos for loved how the photos turned out, and I couldn't be happier.
