Review: When I first came up with the idea of ordering a custom made body pillow instead of one off a popular site or at a con, I thought I'd just be wasting my money but the end product was absolutely amazing, so much better than what I've found anywhere else.

Pros: The fabric is soft and silky and the image is very crisp and clean looking, super professional in feeling and appearance for such a cheap price.

Cons: The case is a couple inches longer than most typical body pillows themselves and sometimes the image is slightly cropped but neither are very noticeable.

Bottom Line: I'm very happy with the result and I'm back to order yet another :).

Review: I got this for a birthday present for my sibling. I shopped around for an anime body pillow, but many were over 50$ per pillow, had horrific shipping costs, and had little to chose from especially of you wanted one that wasn't super pornographic or a boy on it. I decided to try this one since this site had one already made of one of the recipients choice characters in the galley (http://www.artscow.com/gallery/body-pillow-case/komaeda-danganronpa-xppfxfhb654t), and for the price I wouldn't be left hopeless if it wasn't that nice and needed to get another present instead. Was shocked! The quality was amazing, having similar quality to one a friend got at a convention for 70$. I may get one for myself down the road.

Machine washable Colour came out well and doesn't fade after washes Came in the expected time Actually affordable! The image I used was blurry since I used someone else's design, but it looked fine on the pillow.

Cons: Some of the black bleeds a bid down the threads It's much longer than regular body pillow, you will need to find or order a pillow to fit it well.

Bottom Line: Will buy from Artscow again!.

Review: This is the first dakimakura pillow case I've ordered from the site. The art on it was a fan art daki of Sandy from Final Fantasy X I've ordered from an artist named Fruitbloodmilkshake (he has this handle on DeviantArt, FurAffinity, and Tumblr). Although a little difficult to get the entire body pillow in the case, the printing came out nicely, the material is soft and smooth, and it's just what I've ordered.

Pros: Perfect print; correct order; soft material.

Cons: Mildly difficult to get the whole body pillow in the case.

Bottom Line: I'm very happy with how my pillow case came out overall. Plus you don't have to worry about having your art stolen and resold for any reason. Will continue to work with this site for another daki in future.

Review: Overall I was scared of ordering from this company due to hearing about other people's experiences online. I'll admit, artscow is not that great at keeping people updated on their orders (it takes days to even receive a response). But I did receive my body pillow cover in a reasonable amount of time since it was coming from overseas (about 3 weeks). The print is clear. The material is soft. And it was exactly what I ordered.

Pros: Clear print, correct order, soft material, stitching it sturdy.

Cons: Took a while to receive, communication with artscow was difficult (it took a while and they only respond by email), canceling orders is difficult.

Bottom Line: Be sure that you are 100% sure you want to buy. And make sure to ask about your order if it seems like it's taking a while or if you're unclear about something. Overall, my pillow looks amazing. But I'm not posting pics because I'm slightly ashamed that I have it.

Review: I've taken to buying my friends these with their favorite historical figures or celebrities on it, its very fun. Only thing is, they take 4 weeks to get here from ordering to delivery (in the US). Make sure to order way ahead of time if you have a deadline. If you opt out of paying a little more for the tracking number, you're left in the dark, hoping it gets there.

Pros: Good Product.

Cons: Shipping time.

Bottom Line: If you want it, buy it, but be willing to wait 4 weeks.

Review: I'm having someone draw me a photo of Rock Lee from the epilogue of Naruto, and as a first-time dakimakura owner, I thought I would give Artscow a trial run, just so I would know what to expect. I chose this time around a render of Lee from a video game. I was super worried that it would look bad, as I had to resize the image considerably and it wasn't sharp to begin with. I thought the print might turn out badly. But I received the daki today and WOOOOW. I love it! I will definitely be using Artscow as my body pillow printer from now on. The print, while blurry due to the image used, was actually sharp enough to look really nice and cute. The only caveat is it is bigger than most body pillows, so I had to stuff it at the bottom and fasten it. Not a huge problem though, it was an easy fix. I can't wait to print my actual custom dakimakura so I can have one to carry at conventions and one to keep on my bed.

All in all, it was useless to worry, as it turned out GREAT. Note that I am a first-time owner of one of these things, so you may feel otherwise. But I will say that the print is excellent and that it is super soft.

Pros: Great print, soft fabric, shipping was relatively fast.

Cons: The photo editor was a bit odd to work with.

Bottom Line: I would recommend this to first-time dakimakura owners and for anyone who would like their anime spouse to be brought to life, so to speak.

Review: I commissioned an artist to do some art of my favorite video game character, Varric from Dragon Age, who I could not find a pillow of anywhere. So when I wanted to get it printed I found Artscow, who had very nice prices for what looked like promising products. I was able to get my dakimakura for $35 altogether--$15 to commission the artist and $20 to have it printed and shipped from Artscow (I used a coupon). Compared to $50-100 for a standard dakimakura that wasn't made for me that's already a great deal!
When the pillow case came in I was pretty anxious about it, because it was the first item I'd received from Artscow. I didn't need to be so nervous: it looks beautiful and very high-quality. The fabric is a very smooth polyester, similar in feel to the "peach skin" fabric other dakimakura sellers use. It takes a print very nicely, with smooth crisp lines. My image was the minimum recommended resolution and it does look as though the edges bled a tiny bit (only a few mm) but I wonder if having a higher resolution image would remedy this. Shipping was pretty quick, not the 7-12 days advertised but about comparable with any eBay seller in the same vicinity of Hong Kong. It came in safe and sound with no problems. I love my dakimakura and am already in the process of getting another commissioned from the same artist for my boyfriend--I will definitely use Artscow for it too. I definitely recommend going the custom-made route to anyone who wants a dakimakura of a character that's not readily available.

Pros: Pillow is very high-quality fabric Printing is actually in the fabric, not an iron-on of adhered piece Price was super reasonable and affordable.

Cons: Print is not perfectly sharp like a photo Shipping time was not as fast as advertised.

Review: I bought four of these pillow cases, all with custom artwork on the front and back, and ArtsCow produced and shipped them in less than two weeks. The print quality is excellent and the color doesn't fade in the wash. I've tried buying custom art cases from eBay and other fabric printing stores online, and have not found any store that comes close to the quality and timeliness I've come to expect from ArtsCow.

Pros: Silky and fade-resistant fabric, great print quality, flexibility of custom artistic content printed, fast production time, fast shipping via FedEx.

Cons: No zipper closure on the pillow.

Bottom Line: ArtsCow continues to be one of the best pillow printing stores I've found. Grade: A.
